Thaipusam restrictions: keeping Singapore in the past

Police violence said to have been used to suppress procession members using musical instruments.

Police violence said to have been used to suppress procession members using musical instruments.

So past ‘incidents’ on Thaipusam dictate that we cannot celebrate and have procession today, in the 21st century?

Seriously, this is the kind of PAP that keeps the country from moving forward, the PAP that holds us back, and keeps us in the deep echelons of dark history, so that we shall never grow up and grow out, of the PAP’s control, that is.

The same goes for dialogue on race and religion. Because of that damned ‘race riots’ score years ago (Barisan said were caused by the PAP itself, with UMNO), we cannot even whisper about race today.
