Just like how in our pioneering years, Lee Kuan Yew refused to bring his wife along to meetings, even as the other cadres did, and even asked everyone else not to do so, his regime today still maintains the same, old misogynistic stance and wants to keep women far from power.
We see the same scenario in dynastic China, the China today, and many other such societies, whether encouraged by ancient, conservative belief, or by sheer dictatorial practice because somehow gender equality is believed to shake up dictatorships.
And we know Japan had a female defence minister and France a female one for trade and industry.
Rise, women of Singapore, bring hell to the PAP!
